1. Data We Collect

Aovance operates as a data processor under the instructions of Shopify Merchants. To deliver our cart drawer takeover and checkout recommendation services, we collect:

• Shop Telemetry: Shop name, domain, physical address, active currency, and configuration templates.
• Customer Interaction logs: Recommendations impressions, clicks, accepts, and order attribution markers collected via Web Pixel and storefront scripts.
• Order Data: Temporary order IDs, product IDs, discount codes applied, and currency codes to run order reconciliation and attribution logic.

2. How We Use Data

We strictly limit processing to the purposes of optimizing cart layouts, attributing sales, calculating subscription tiers, and maintaining the security baseline of the app integrations. We never sell, rent, or lease merchant or buyer personal data to third parties.

3. Data Retention & Safeguards

All database connections are encrypted at rest and in transit. Log telemetry and database backups are held for no longer than 60 days, after which they are securely purged. We comply fully with GDPR mandatory webhooks (such as customer data erasure and shop redact requests).
